Since the earlier edition of the small volume was so well received, the basic content of this revised edition will remain the same. The new text is stylistically reworked and necessary corrections were made by Fr. Patrick Connor, SVD to whom I owe a special word of thanks. A number of new stories have been added or replaced, and the questions for reflection were partly reworded. Two new conferences were added: Conversion of St. Paul and Poverty: Option for the Poor. Special thanks goes to Sister Christel Daun, S.Sp.S. for her help in selecting the stories, and for her assistance in so many ways with the new edition. We had some difficulty in selecting a suitable title. Although the book was originally meant for religious and priests, surprisingly it reached many lay people as well who wanted to follow the Lord more dedicatedly. We, therefore, decided to leave the title as it was worded in the second printing of the first edition. ..

Fr John Fuellenbach is a Divine Word Missionary. He reaches Fundamental Theology at the Gregorian University, at the Beda College both in Rome and at the School of Theology in St. Augustine, Germany. He holds a doctorate from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. For seven years he taught at the Divine Word Seminary School of Theology in Tagaytay, Philippines and for shorter periods in a variety of places. He wrote several books.
