Come and See

Cowley, Joy
$25.50

As the title suggests, this is an invitation. Joy's writing and Terry's photography become a conduit connecting the reader with the essence of the Gospel stories. "This book is a gift to us from someone who has spent much time contemplating the face of Christ as his disciple. It leads us to Jesus. His light and peace are present in these pages. Thank you again Joy, friend and companion of the Bridegroom, for decreasing so he may increase." Fr Carl Telford SM..

Proclaiming His Kingdom

Fuellenbach John,SVD
$22.50

Since the earlier edition of the small volume was so well received, the basic content of this revised edition will remain the same. The new text is stylistically reworked and necessary corrections were made by Fr. Patrick Connor, SVD to whom I owe a special word of thanks. A number of new stories have been added or replaced, and the questions for reflection were partly reworded. Two new conferences were added: Conversion of St. Paul and Poverty: Option for the Poor. Special thanks goes to Sister Christel Daun, S.Sp.S. for her help in selecting the stories, and for her assistance in so many ways with the new edition. We had some difficulty in selecting a suitable title. Although the book was originally meant for religious and priests, surprisingly it reached many lay people as well who wanted to follow the Lord more dedicatedly. We, therefore, decided to leave the title as it was worded in the second printing of the first edition. ..

Home Tonight follows the path of Henri Nouwen’s spiritual homecoming. More than three years prior to writing his great classic, The return of the Prodigal Son, Nouwen suffered a personal breakdown followed by a time of healing solitude when he encountered Rembrandt’s famous painting.  Within his solitude he reflected on and identified with the parable’s characters and experienced profound and inspiring life lessons. This captivating book was created from never-before-published materials that formed the basis of the small workshop inspired by Nouwen’s intimate encounter with Rembrandt’s painting. Readers are led to welcome their unique Belovedness through practices of “spiritual listening,” journaling, and communing with God, thus connecting personally with the unique, unconditional love of the One who created them. Home Tonight is practical guide for the inner journey home...

Whispers From The Edge Of Eternity

Ringma Charles

Grace Community Prayer Forgiveness The spiritual journey is far more complex than being either hot or cold, passionate or dull, full of the Spirit or weighted down with the barnacles of tradition. Spirituality knows both the joy of ecstasy, and the pain of the dark night of the soul. From Reflection 7 A Thoughtful and Passionate Faith “While we may wish for an ever-present spiritual clarity and for an unquestioning certainty of faith, we are often called to walk a more difficult road. On this road it is often more a matter of being held in God’s hand than of holding God’s hand. Light has its shadows and grace has its pains. Joy is not without sorrow, and despair has the fragile veins of hope. This meditational reader seeks to reflect something of this kind of textured picture of the Christian journey, and hence these are the whispers from the edge of eternity.’’ Charles Ringma From the Introduction ..
