“STAR OF THE STORMY SEA” In the 1600’s, Our Lady appeared to a Conceptionist sister, Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres in Quito, Ecuador. Our Lady greeted her saying: “I am Mary of Good Success, the one whom you have invoked with such tender affection. Your prayer has greatly pleased. Your faith has brought me here. Your love invited me to visit you.” Our Lady stated that it was Her wish to be made known to the Conceptionist Convent in Quito and the rest of the world as “Our Lady of Good Success”. She foretold that the church would be in a state of crisis in the Twentieth Century. Our Lady asked Mother Mariana to be a victim soul for this particular time. The Blessed Mother specifically asked to be invoked as “Our Lady of Good Success” during this ungodly era. She promised to grant all requests, spiritual and temporal, asked for during this tragic period in the Church’s history. Let us all beseech the Holy Virgin under this most optimistic of all titles to end these terrible times..
