Homiletics Directory

Since the Second Vatican Council, there has been an ongoing dialogue about the importance of the homily in the liturgy. The 2008 Synod on the Word of God and more recently, Pope Francis' Evangelii Gaudium, has really brought the homily into focus.
The Homiletic Directory gives clarity of content and purpose to homilists, with the aim of deepening the connection between God and those who worship him. It also serves to encourage the faithful to feel a greater sense of participation in the liturgy and a stronger link between the Scriptures and life, including worship.
